DARK WINTER
By David Mark

Adapted By Richard Vergette and Nick Lane

Directed by Andrew Pearson

An ex-trawlerman from East Hull.

An adopted teenager from Hessle.

An arsonist from Orchard Park.

All unknown to one another.

All apparently unconnected victims of brutal murders.

But Detective Sergeant Aector McAvoy reckons there’s a link. Trouble is, when you blow the whistle on your boss, however corrupt, no one listens to a grass.

They should.

Because if they don’t, the list of victims will only get longer. And, for McAvoy at least, much, much closer to home…

Set in Hull and based on the thrilling crime novel by bestselling author David Mark, Ensemble 52 brings Aector McAvoy’s first case to the stage in a stunning adaptation by award winning writers Richard Vergette (Dancing Through the Shadows, As We Forgive Them) and Nick Lane (The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, My Favourite Summer), directed by Andrew Pearson (A Steady Rain, Great Expectations).
